This Ranch home in Milan NY in Dutchess County is a real beauty. It has huge views into the Catskills. I owned the land for 3 years before I started building - studying the land, studying the views, applying my decade+ of house/land pairings. Had a lot of complexity with rock, long infrastructure runs, interfering neighbors. But, by the grace of god, we got her done and sold her last week - the same day as Farm 39 - filling the coffers so we can go take some more risks somewhere else.
What makes this house sale extra special to us is the fact it was purchased by a family - a newly married son and wife and his parents. The 'rents live in Albany, the kids in NYC, and this is half way in between. Pretty special.
