Vacation Month
Feeling a bit european in Eldred, with everyone taking all sorts of time off. Me included.
1.5 hours west of Cheyenne Wyoming -
New Sheriff in Town - Steamboat Springs CO.

Medicine Bow National Forest, on the border of CO and Wyoming. (thats the wind causing that weird belly protrusion).

Nap after Frontier Days and Bull Riding Championship in Cheyenne WY.

Week of horseback riding 30 west of Laramie Wyoming. With Son and Nephew.

Lucas taking in the Big Sky. His old horse was named Pepperoni.


Lunch spot near old mine after 2 hour horseback ride up the mountain.

Oh, and Farm 34 just about set to close tomorrow, with the Rhinebeck barn right behind that and 10 other projects going full steam ahead.
Narrowsburg Riverfest this Weekend
To one and all -
RiverFest - always a good time.
4th of July Weekend in Barryville
Had a good 4th with family around.
You could say the fireworks rave party we had got a little out of control and smokey.

For the first time ever, I made a building better by only subtracting some parts - in this case, tearing off some siding of a 100 yr old shed, exposing the post and beam, and opening an awesome view of the pond and grounds.
Named it Tara, after the Scarlet's Gone with the Wind farm.

It's inaugural party, perfect for a partially rainy day.

Lucas loves a good costume, and this neck brace, ski helmut and googles and shin guards on the forearms and some far east belt system really takes the cake.
He should really rock it in Wyoming next week at Frontier Days - cowboy boots and hat, belt buckle theme for sure.

His best friend from birth, our neighbor Theresa.
