Upstate New York real estate is a varied as the day is long. Upstate New York is huge, and real estate comes in all shapes and sizes.
Most of my past clients didn't really know what they were looking for when the dream of real estate in upstate New York first announced itself.
Respite from city life. Peace and quiet. Safety. A getaway. A haven. A sanctuary. An investment. I have heard all of these used as reasons for the country life dreaming. Owning a piece of the pie - not buying in the Hamptons. Where else, but turning the pages of real estate magazines listing upstate New York real estate.
Of course, narrowing the focus, deciding on an upstate New York area, deciding on the type of real estate, the type of house, the type of property, takes time, research and trips upstate to 'see it for yourself'.
Luckily, our outreach has been effective and those focused on finding real estate in upstate New York find us pretty easily, and it's just a matter of time before the choice between a trusted, reputable designer/builder of farmhouses and cottages becomes much more attractive than another day with an upstate New York real estate agent.
