CATSKILL FARMHOUSES

Seekers of Catskill farmhouses are a romantic bunch.  Cottages in the Catskill, Farmhouses in the Catskills, a getaway in the Catskills.

As David Knudsen said over beer, wings and spinich ravioli, lovers of Catskill Farmhouses, whether they know it or not, enjoy the narrative an old house has - walk in and you can feel the stories and lives that played out over the last century  -the struggles, the children, the farming, etc...

Catskill Farms has been building brand new farmhouses in the Catskill Mountains, and amazingly we have pulled it off pretty well.  We have been able to capture that same narrative of the original Catskill Farmhouses.  Families enter, and families don't want to leave.  Possibly that accounts for our 6 homes in contract and 3 additional homes on the waiting list.

Most Catskill Farmhouses need a lot of work, have low ceilings, have drafty windows, have no insulation, and have mechanical systems more fragile then most buyers realize upon purchase.  The homes of Catskill Farms have none of the above issues, but tell and emote the same narrative and story-line.  It's not easy giving a new house a soul, but Catskill Farms is giving it the old college try.  Finally, the buyers of Catskill Farmhouses can be warm, safe and comfortable while living the dream of yesteryear.
